About IMCN

The Indigenous Manufacturing and Contracting Network (IMCN) was created to:

  • Increase opportunities for Indigenous businesses and communities.
  • Build Indigenous professional and business capacity across industries.
  • Amplify Indigenous voices in advocacy and policy development.
  • Showcase the power of Indigenous values in business and leadership.
  • Lead the conversation on Reconciliation within industry.
  • Share and generate best practices through leadership.
Our Values

We believe:

  • Indigenous economic inclusion benefits everyone. Strong partnerships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous industry leaders and governments are essential to building a resilient and prosperous economy.
  • Indigenous values are essential. In designing and implementing sustainable business practices that protect and benefit future generations.
  • Collective solutions transform systems. Collaboration is essential to building positive and equitable relationships.
  • Wisdom comes from experience. We value the insights of those with industry expertise and lived experience. Effective decision-making requires listening to all voices.
How We Do It

IMCN’s current Strategic Plan is guided by three core goals set by our Board of Directors:

Support
We maintain a stable funding base through government grants, sponsorships, and membership growth. IMCN continues to expand its role as a convener and leading voice for equitable access to business development, employment, and training opportunities for Indigenous Peoples.

Connect
We strengthen relationships and increase engagement with current and potential members through in-person events and improved digital platforms that foster collaboration and visibility.

Build
We collect and share valuable resources and deliver professional and business development support that strengthens member capacity. This includes promoting best practices and creating opportunities to connect with peers, mentors, and industry partners.
